What emission factors does CARBONORMA use?
IPCC AR6 (2021) for all combustion fuels: diesel, petrol, natural gas, LPG, and coal. These factors are globally uniform and remain valid until the next IPCC Assessment Report (~2028–2030).
Morocco electricity grid: ONEE/IEA, version 2023.1 (0.718 kg CO₂e/kWh). Grid factors are reviewed annually as Morocco's renewable energy mix evolves.
All factors are versioned: historical calculations always preserve the exact factor used at time of calculation, ensuring full audit traceability.
